Bukovno: Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk strongly defines Bukovno’s skyline. The late Baroque building dates from 1769–1770; the roof of the main nave was repaired during a second construction phase in the second half of November 2012.

Culture and History

Bukovno was first documented in 1387 in connection with Pešík of Bukovno. On the main road to Michalovice, near the center of Bukovno, stand the Boží muka. These are pillar-shaped sandstone shrines with an iron cross bearing the crucified Christ.

Farmstead No. 24 is protected as a cultural monument. It is a large, representative estate from the second half of the 19th century with a romantically designed façade. A monument in Bukovno’s central park commemorates 25 inhabitants who lost their lives in the war.

Leisure

The leisure area includes a cableway, a combination fitness station, balance stilts, and a rope course. It is accessible via the municipal infrastructure and is located along a forest path used for recreation and spending time together. An open-air cinema was held at the Sokolovna; in bad weather, it was held inside the Sokolovna.

Lysá, a mountain, is located in the surroundings of Bukovno. Daměře [Bukovno-Líny], a hill, is located in the immediate vicinity.
