Plazy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Volenovice fortified site in Plazy is classified as a significant archaeological site. It refers to a vanished late-medieval fortification on the southern edge of the Valy settlement, in a small deciduous woodland. The Volenovice castle site lies in a small deciduous woodland and features a barely recognizable circular core with an inner and an outer ring ditch, as well as traces of an inner rampart.

Culture and History

The Volenovice settlement was abandoned at the beginning of the 16th century; finds from the site date back to the 14th century. In the center of Plazy, the complex of the Church of St. Simon and St. Jude is also a notable historical site on a slight elevation. The complex is enclosed by a stone perimeter wall and is entered from the north through a pillar gate. Services are regularly held in the parish Church of St. Simon and St. Jude. The church is not accessible to wheelchair users.

Activities

Plazy has a nohejbal and tennis court. A cycling tour follows Route 8155 via Dolní Stakory, Valy and Plazy to Řepov, where it joins Route 8148 to Mladá Boleslav. In addition, a Children's Day was announced in Plazy for May 15, 2025, and another for May 31, 2026.
