Torreblanca between Wetlands, Beaches and Culture
Torreblanca connects the town centres of Torreblanca and Torrenostra with the nature park: the 21.75-kilometre circular route “Rincones de Torreblanca” runs through this connection. It presents no particular physical or technical difficulties and runs mostly along paved paths.
Cycling
The linear route “A La Gola del Trenc” offers a different perspective. It begins at Torreblanca railway station, runs along the edge of Prat Nature Park and continues through the park to Gola del Trenc. There, an observation point offers a good view of the wetland. The route is 3.84 kilometres long, likewise presents no particular physical or technical difficulties and runs on paved paths for approximately half of its length.
“Torreblanca en Bici” comprises more than 50 kilometres of signposted routes that can be ridden individually, with the family or in a group. The circular route “Iniciación a la Montaña” begins in the town centre of Torreblanca and is suitable for all users. Different route lengths, linear and circular routes, as well as various surfaces, provide several points of comparison for planning your day.
Nature and Beach
Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca Nature Park is the most important wetland in the province of Castellón and is considered one of the least altered wetlands in the Valencian Community. The nature park is also included in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance. Playa Sur is a protected natural beach located in the centre of the nature park.
The wide urban beach of Playa Torrenostra has two long breakwaters that calm the water, making it suitable for swimming. Playa Norte is a long sandy and gravel beach with a gently sloping seabed of fine sand without uneven surfaces. Playa de Torrenostra is located in the immediate vicinity of Torreblanca; Playa del Moro, Playa Romana and Playa del Cargador are located in the surrounding area of Torreblanca.
