The PR-CV 2 Cabeçó d’Or circular route starts at Pla de la Gralla near the Cuevas del Canelobre and includes sections where the outward and return routes partially overlap. It is connected to the Cabeçó d’Or y la Grana Special Protection Area for Birds and the Racó de Seva y Cova del Canelobre flora micro-reserve. Around Busot, there are opportunities for hiking and mountain biking, as well as a via ferrata that is also suitable for less experienced people. The different types of activities help you distinguish between hiking, mountain biking and the via ferrata when planning your day.
Nature
The Cuevas del Canelobre are a karst cave located at an altitude of 700 metres on the northern slope of the Sierra Cabeçó d’Or. The interior of the Cuevas del Canelobre covers more than 80,000 m² and can be reached through a 45-metre-long tunnel. In some areas of the Cuevas del Canelobre, caving is possible.
Culture and History
Castillo de Busot has been partially consolidated and reconstructed; visitors can learn about its history and enjoy the views there. Torre de Cabrafich, also known as Torre de Busot, is a preserved relic of the defensive system created by the population during the Berber attacks. Monte Calvario lies in the heart of Busot’s old town; walking paths run there alongside the town’s traditional houses. The Museo de Música Étnica displays more than 4,000 instruments from different periods, cultures and parts of the world.

El Tesoro de Busot is an urban scavenger hunt based on local legends about Cabeçó d’Or and the Cuevas del Canelobre. El Tesoro de Busot offers three difficulty levels – Historiador, Explorador and Aventurero: the first two take place in the centre of Busot, while the third is a nature route that climbs to the summit of Cabeçó d’Or. During El Tesoro de Busot, participants must complete tests, challenges and tasks while exploring Busot.
Festivals
The festivals in Busot have been celebrated since 1963 and always take place one week after Easter. As part of the cultural and festival week dedicated to San Lorenzo, there are cooking workshops and tastings of traditional dishes from Busot. In the second half of July, during the full moon, the public lighting in Busot’s old town is switched off for a special evening event; more than 10,000 candles in the streets, windows and balconies create an atmospheric setting. The evening event provides the setting for musical and cultural performances.
