Azofra on the Camino de Santiago

The Camino de Santiago passes through Azofra; on the Camino Francés, the town lies on the eighth stage between Nájera and Santo Domingo de la Calzada. In the town, the route follows Calle Mayor and leaves Azofra between Parque Virgen de Valvanera and Fuente de los Romeros.

The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles dates from the 18th century. Its apse and transept were built from ashlar around 1555.
