The Castillo-Palacio of Sajazarra was built in the 15th century. Its outer enclosure is rectangular and is flanked by round corner towers. At its centre stands a keep with octagonal turrets.

The surviving El Arco gate in Sajazarra is Gothic and dates from the 14th or 15th century. It is located between the church and the old town hall.

The Santa María de Cillas hermitage is a Romanesque building from the 13th century. It is built of dressed stone and masonry and has a Neoclassical altarpiece.

The Casa de los Ruiz de Loizaga is a Baroque house from the second half of the 18th century. It features a sundial and the coat of arms of the Ruiz de Loizaga family.

The Church of Santa María de la Asunción has late Romanesque origins and three naves. On its northern side, it is built against the town walls of Sajazarra.

Many of the works created during the summers between 1990 and 2012 adorn the streets of Sajazarra.

Senderos del Vino: Confines de la historia is a 23.8 km route of moderate difficulty. It is suitable for hiking and mountain biking and passes through Sajazarra, Villaseca, Cellorigo and Foncea.

Senderos del Vino: Riberas del Oja y Tirón is an 18.3 km route of low difficulty. It is also suitable for hiking and mountain biking and passes through Sajazarra, Tirgo and Cuzcurrita.

The two Senderos differ in length and difficulty; what they have in common is the combination of hiking and mountain biking. Their sequences of places also indicate different routes through the locations mentioned.

The Montes Obarenes feature striking vertical, wall-like landforms and limestone outcrops. There are climbing routes in several areas between Pancorbo and Villalba. The tourism office provides a climbing guide for La Rioja for consultation.

At the end of August, Sajazarra celebrates the Virgen de Cillas with a pilgrimage to the hermitage, as well as tastings of bollos preñados, wine and zurracapote.
