Vita – Holiday Apartments between History and La Moraña

The first documented mention dates from 1250, when Vita was mentioned under the name Vitamala. In the Middle Ages, Vita belonged to the Cabildo de Zapardiel, one of the areas into which the Diocese of Ávila at that time was divided for the collection of revenues. In the 17th century, Vita became a feudal lordship belonging to the lords of Fontiveros and remained associated with them until the 19th century. Culture

The Iglesia de San Sebastián Mártir has a single-nave layout. Inside, it has a wooden artesonado coffered ceiling. In its construction, the church combines exposed brick and colored masonry infill with the natural stone characteristic of the area. Two bell gables crown the building. The church also has a simple 16th-century altarpiece featuring a prominent figure of Saint Sebastian. La Moraña has family-friendly hiking trails along wide, almost flat paths; routes can be planned between the municipalities.
