Trabada: Forests, Trails and Cultural Heritage
Trabada has more than 350 hectares of native woodland. The Fraga da Becerreira route is approximately 6 kilometres long, offering a clearly defined trail for a day among forests and landscapes.
Nature
The Fraga da Vilapena route is available in 6- and 10-kilometre variants. Fraga da Vilapena itself is a relic forest of great landscape and cultural-historical value. Those who choose a summit as their destination can follow the Ruta de Subida ao Picato to the summit of Picato, at an elevation of 743 metres.
In Vilaformán lies Fraga de Cabanela, a 110-hectare forest of great ecological interest. In the Ría de Abres there are areas for birdwatching and a landing stage.
Along the way
The historic Camino Norte passes through Trabada. At Abres, the Camino Norte reaches Galicia via Trabada and crosses the River Eo there on the Fornacho Bridge. A Choza is a recreational area in San Martiño, Trabada, on the Camino del Norte.
Canoas do Eo is an active tourism company in Trabada offering descents on the River Eo.

Culture and History
The Centro etnográfico José Rocha presents the ethnographic heritage of Trabada and the A Mariña comarca. The Centro etnográfico José Rocha is open to visitors from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 14:00.
The Church of Sante is one of the oldest churches in Trabada and dates from the 16th century. The parish church of Valboa preserves two side altarpieces from the 17th century, while the parish church of Vilaformán has an altarpiece dated 1735.
The Igrexa de Santiago de Vilapena has a recently restored Baroque altarpiece in its main chapel and another altarpiece from the 16th century in the left aisle.
The Torre de Terrafeita was built in 1557. Its façade bears a heraldic marble shield featuring a laurel wreath, a castle, the bust of a knight and an eagle.
Archaeology and Crafts
The Mámoa de As Pallaregas in Vidal consists of an approximately circular burial mound about 16 metres in diameter, with the remains of a megalithic burial chamber. The Mámoa de Vilarbetote in Sante is considered a megalithic burial mound about 20 metres in diameter and one of the best-preserved sites in the Mariña Lucense.
The Pena Grabada de Vilaformán is evidence of history and of great interest to those interested in archaeology. The Casa do Cura pottery workshop in the parish of Vilafernando in Trabada offers workshops, courses and guided visits.
Local Cuisine
In Trabada, you can try Enfariñada, a slow-cooked dish made with wheat flour from the area, homemade eggs, water and oil.
