In A Veiga de Logares, the PR-G 139 begins next to the church of A Veiga de Logares. From there, the route leads downhill in a northwesterly direction into the valley of the Logares River, characterised by deciduous forest. Notable yew trees grow along the trail from San Martín de Robledo. For hikers, the PR-G 139 highlights the Igrexa de San Martin de Robledo church in the village of the same name; it lies within the parish of A Veiga de Logares (Santa María). In Romeán, there is a castro of the same name, which the route reaches via a turn-off. In this way, the trail links the starting point next to the church, the descent into the Logares Valley and the yew trees along the section from San Martín de Robledo. Before setting out on a hike, it is worth checking current trail conditions when a route leads downhill and a castro is reached via a turn-off.

Culture

The Igrexa Parroquial Santa María de Veiga de Logares church is located on the Camino Primitivo. In the village of Braña, the Capela de San Caetano en Braña chapel is located within the parish of A Veiga de Logares (Santa María); it is considered a cultural heritage site. The two places, A Veiga de Logares and Braña, therefore each have their own ecclesiastical destination within the same parish. The connection to the Camino Primitivo and the chapel’s cultural heritage status remain linked to their respective named locations.
