Ribeira Sacra between rivers, vineyards and chestnut groves
Pantón lies in the south of the province of Lugo in the Ribeira Sacra lucense; its boundaries are marked by the Miño, Cabe and Sil rivers. The PR-G 162 “Rota da Ribeira Sacra do Miño” runs from Santo Estevo de Ribas de Miño in O Saviñao to Cima de Atán in Pantón. It passes through landscapes with vineyards belonging to the D.O. Ribeira Sacra and centuries-old chestnut groves. River landscapes, viticulture and old tree landscapes are therefore among the defining concrete features of this regional section.
