Carballido: Primitivo Way and Cultural Heritage

History

A historic Way of the Cross connected San Martiño de Carballido Church with the chapel of Santa Locadia via a route known as the “Camiño do Calvario”; the Way of the Cross dates from the 17th or 18th century. At San Martiño de Carballido Church, the interior walls were improved and the façade was gently cleaned of vegetation. Three crosses measuring from 111 centimetres to 2 metres in height are located at the parish church of San Martiño de Carballido.
