Among Coristanco’s oldest surviving cultural heritage sites is the Dolmen de Chan da Embarrada, an example of megalithic architecture.
Culture
The Museo da Pataca combines agricultural heritage with artistic design; it is accompanied by a striking mural by the artist Mon Devane. The Castro de Oca is an Iron Age settlement. The Capela da Milagrosa in Cereixa was inaugurated in 1943 on the site of the former parish church.
The Ermida de Santa Ana da Rabadeira is a 12th-century Romanesque parish church that was later remodelled in the Baroque style and again in the 19th century. The Pazo de Nogueira is classified as a property of cultural interest, a Bien de Interés Cultural. The Capela do Rosario das Salgueiras is a rectangular chapel with a single nave and a gabled roof covered with curved ceramic tiles. Lubiáns features four round arches over the Rosende.
The buildings and archaeological sites represent different forms of historical heritage: the dolmen stands for megalithic architecture, the castro for an Iron Age settlement, and the ermida for a Romanesque parish church. In the case of the Capela da Milagrosa, the year of inauguration, 1943, points to the more recent history of the place, while the later remodelling of the ermida records the changes made to the building over several periods.
Architectural details can also be distinguished. The Capela do Rosario das Salgueiras is defined by its rectangular, single-nave layout and its gabled roof with curved ceramic tiles. In Lubiáns, by contrast, the focus is on the four round arches over the Rosende. The Pazo de Nogueira adds its status as a Bien de Interés Cultural to this series.

Nature
The Lagoa de Alcaián in Seavia is a wetland of high ecological value. At the Lagoa de Fontecova in Cuns, the Miradoiro de Estrelas is designated for observing the night sky.
The natural sites described therefore include both an ecologically valuable wetland and a viewpoint expressly designated for observing the night sky. The two places in Seavia and Cuns represent different landscape settings within Coristanco: in one case the Lagoa de Alcaián, and in the other the Lagoa de Fontecova with the Miradoiro de Estrelas.
Waterfalls
The Fervenzas de Verdes waterfalls can be seen along the Ruta de los molinos de Verdes hiking trail. To access the Fervenzas da Burbia ou do Río Grelo from Bustelo, leave the car after passing the greenhouses and continue from there down to the river and the mills. Access to the Fervenzas de Verdes from the Refugio de pesca de Verdes is easy and signposted.
For the Fervenzas da Burbia ou do Río Grelo, the parking spot after the greenhouses is also part of the arrival directions, followed by the onward route to the river and the mills. The Fervenzas de Verdes are additionally associated with the Refugio de pesca de Verdes and an easy, signposted access route.
Festivals
The Festa da Pataca is a cultural and social festival held in honour of potatoes from Coristanco.
The potato thus has its own place in the local identity alongside the historical sites, wetlands and waterfalls. The Festa da Pataca explicitly connects its occasion with the cultural and social life of Coristanco.
