Culture, nature and religious dates take concrete form in Andeade. The 18th century is represented by two buildings: the Pazo de Andeade, also known as A Casa Grande de Andeade, is an 18th-century building founded in 1724 by Don Pedro Antonio Verea y Pacheco and Doña María Antonia Varela Lodeiro y Figueroa. The Iglesia de Santiago de Andeade also dates from the 18th century. The Pazo and the church therefore represent two distinct historical points of reference within the parish.

The Pazo de Andeade complex includes an oak grove. The Hórreo de Andeade, which is used as a rural tourism house, is also part of this privately managed complex. The hórreo stands on masonry supporting walls and has stone columns. Its construction is therefore defined by the combination of a masonry base and stone supports, while the oak grove forms a separate component of the complex.

The Cruceiro de la Casa Grande de Andeade is likewise characterized by clearly recognizable structural details. It is made of granite and stands on a square platform with two steps. Its capital is decorated with acanthus leaves. The material, base and ornamentation are among the expressly documented features of this cruceiro.

Nature and Trails

The Ruta de Andeade is a circular route through the parishes of Andeade, Cornado, Turces and Beseño and begins at the Pazo de Andeade. Its course therefore passes through the four named parishes and includes the Pazo as its starting point. The Ruta de Andeade also highlights the scenic beauty of the Corticeiras de Andeade. The Fervenza dos Muíños is part of the natural landscape of the parish of Andeade.

Another named trail is the Camino del Holandés. It runs through the parish of Andeade and crosses the municipality of Touro via the AC-240 regional road. Thus, Andeade offers both a circular route starting at the Pazo and a trail that passes through the parish and the municipality of Touro. Religious Character

The patron saint festivities of Andeade, honoring Saint James, are scheduled for July 25 and 26. The date is therefore tied to two consecutive days in July and is associated with the patronage of Saint James. Festive days with an explicitly fixed date can be checked against your own travel period; the current starting times of individual events should be confirmed before arrival.
