Nature and Landscape

Eljas lies on the lower slope of the Sierra de Eljas, on a steep and sloping ridge. From there, the town overlooks the valley where the Eljas River rises. The valley is crossed by numerous streams with lively, clear water, including the Romanitas stream and the arroyo de la Vega. When planning a trip, the elevation, valley area and waterways can be considered as distinct aspects of the landscape alongside one another.

The different geographical references can be considered separately when planning: nearby surroundings, surroundings and wider regional surroundings each designate their own framework. When comparing nature and culture, you can distinguish the landscape of elevations and waterways from the buildings, festivals and linguistic heritage mentioned above.

Routes and Local Themes

When comparing holiday apartments in Eljas, the travel period, room category and cancellation conditions can be considered separately from the content-related focuses. This keeps nature and waterways, architectural history and festivals, language, route and olive oil recognisable as distinct topics, while the characteristics of the offers form a separate level of comparison.

For your planning, you can assign different weights to these topics: nature and waterways, architectural history and festivals, language, route or olive oil each set a different focus. The spatial levels also help you consider nearby destinations separately from places in the surrounding area and the wider regional surroundings.

The Almazara As Pontis in Eljas offers olive oil tourism centred around its Vieiru extra virgin olive oil.
