Nature

The nature trail from Sort and through the Vall d’Àssua begins in the upper part of Saurí. Its starting point is next to the Sant Víctor church. The parish church of Sant Víctor de Saurí is a medieval church. It has been restored several times over the course of time. The contemporary artist Santi Moix created an artistic intervention in the parish church. For the artistic project at Sant Víctor de Saurí, fresco painting was chosen to ensure the work’s durability and pay tribute to the great masters of Romanesque art. The fresco is part of this named artistic project. In Sant Víctor, the medieval church, its multiple restorations and Santi Moix’s contemporary intervention thus come together.
