Culture and History

The neoclassical parish church of Sant Salvador de Massoteres is located within the old fortifications of the village. Sant Simeó de Massoteres stands in the old cemetery as a ruined church. The apse of this building is decorated with Lombard-style blind arcades and pilasters.

At Sant Simeó, the preserved historical connection with the old cemetery thus meets the visible forms of the apse. Blind arcades and pilasters structure this part of the building, while the designation ruined church describes the church's present condition.
