Coast and Nature
The Camí de Ronda runs between Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Sant Pol beach. The coastal path follows the shoreline and can be explored on foot. This places a specific connection between the town, Sant Pol beach and the shoreline at the centre. Before setting out on a hike, current information about trail conditions should be checked.
The beaches of Platja de Cala Joana and Platja dels Canyerets are located in the vicinity of Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Platja de Canyet and Cala Rovira are also nearby. The Ermita de Sant Elm has a viewpoint overlooking the coast. The seabed of Sant Feliu de Guíxols is also characterised by morphology and biodiversity suitable for recreational diving. The coastal landscape is therefore visible at named beaches, from a viewpoint and beneath the surface of the water. For recreational diving, checking current conditions before starting the activity is part of the usual preparation.
Trails and Getting There
The Ruta del Carrilet II runs for 41.9 kilometres from Girona to Sant Feliu de Guíxols. By car, the route leads via exit 9 of the AP-7 motorway; the final 30 kilometres are on the C-65 dual carriageway. The route describes a connection between Girona and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, while arriving by car involves the aforementioned motorway exit and the subsequent dual carriageway. Before driving, current road conditions and traffic information should be checked.
Maritime Heritage
The permanent exhibition El Salvament marítim is located in the Caseta de Salvament on Turó dels Guíxols. The Caseta preserves an original ensemble of maritime rescue heritage from the late 19th century at its original location. The exhibition also includes the rescue boat Bohera. The exhibition site links Turó dels Guíxols with the Caseta de Salvament and the maritime rescue heritage preserved there. The Bohera rescue boat complements this ensemble as another specific component of the permanent exhibition.
History and Museums
An exhibition at the Museu d'Història de Sant Feliu de Guíxols traces the period from the Iberian era to the beginning of Romanisation. Another exhibition at the same museum uses illustrations and interactive elements. The History Museum – Monastery is located on the first floor of the monastery. Before visiting a museum, current opening hours should be checked so that the visit to the historical and interactive exhibitions can be appropriately planned.
In the vicinity of Sant Feliu de Guíxols are the Museu d'Historia de la Joguina, the Museum Salvament Marítim - Sant Feliu de Guixols and the Monestir monastery. The Museu de la Pesca is also located nearby.
