Culture and history

The Basílica de Santa Maria is the first parish building in Catalonia built in the Gothic style. It was constructed over an earlier Romanesque chapel. The basilica has a free-standing, 52-metre-high octagonal bell tower. From there, you can enjoy views of Vilafranca and the surrounding area.
