Trails
The Terrassa variant of the Way of St. James begins in the Les Fonts district next to the Riera de Rubí. The section of the Way of St. James from the Les Fonts district in Terrassa to the centre of Terrassa is 3.4 km long; the starting point, destination, and route length are therefore specifically stated for this route.
The Camí dels Monjos has documented historical and scenic value and connects the Monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallès with the Monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt. Along the Way of St. James, the signposts bear the scallop shell symbol as one of the attributes of Saint James.
Les Fonts is therefore centred both on the beginning of the Terrassa variant and on a marked trail with a historic connection between two monasteries. The scallop shell on the signposts helps with navigation along the Way of St. James.
Geographical location
Les Fonts station is served by FGC lines S1 and S2. Line S1 runs between Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya, and Terrassa, while line S2 runs between Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya, and Sabadell.
The station therefore provides two named FGC connections with different destinations: S1 leads to Terrassa and S2 to Sabadell; both lines start in Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya.
