The Pi de les Tres Branques stands on the Pla de Campllong. The Pi de les Tres Branques is considered a symbol of the Països Catalans and the Trinity. The Aplec del Pi de les Tres Branques takes place on the third Sunday in July in Campllong. This aplec includes a procession with the Cobla Pirineu, the giant figures from Espinalbet, the Trabucaires de Castellar del Riu, and the entourage of the young Jaume I, Guillem de Montrodon and his children's court.

The Santuari de Corbera is an architectural complex consisting of a church, vicarage and former hostel. The Gala de Corbera takes place on the Sunday after 8 September and includes a performance of the Ball de la Coca. Sant Llorenç dels Porxos is a single-nave chapel built on a rocky slope in the Serra dels Lladres, offering exceptional views from there. Sant Salvador de Vilaverd is a single-nave rectangular church with a semicircular apse.

The platform of Castell d'Espinalbet is interpreted as the possible base of a defensive tower. Castell d'Espinalbet is listed among the possessions of the troubadour Guillem de Berguedà. Santa Coloma de Can Cabra is a single-nave church with a rectangular floor plan, located next to the Masia Can Cabra.

Mountains and nature

The Cogulló d'Estela is a 1,869-metre-high limestone mountain visited by many hikers. The Roc d'Auró is 1,948 metres high and is one of the peaks of the Rasos de Peguera range. The Serra d'Ensija-Rasos de Peguera forms one of the southernmost limits of the distribution of alpine vegetation in Catalunya.

The refurbished Font d'Espinalbet, with street furniture, is located by the Torrent de Tagast on the path to the church of Sant Vicenç d'Espinalbet. The Xalet-Refugi de Rasos de Peguera offers meals and overnight accommodation.

Paths and access

The GR-107 Camí dels Bons Homes passes through Castellar del Riu on its Queralt–Gósol section. The Camí dels Bons Homes can be travelled on foot, on horseback and by bicycle. At the Collada Gran, the Camí d'Avià a Campllong joins the path towards Espinalbet and historically served to connect the churches of Sant Vicenç d'Espinalbet and Sant Martí de Coforb.

On-demand transport with stops at the town hall and the Els Roures restaurant can be reserved for access to the municipality.

Festivals and food

The Esmorzar Trabucaire offers black peas, patates emmascarades, tastet, black sausage, bacon and Posima Trabucaire. The Esmorzar Trabucaire is open to everyone and ends with a route to emblematic places in Castellar del Riu. The Festa de Sant Salvador de Vilaverd takes place on 4 August and includes a morning mass and the distribution of traditional bread.
