Historically, Olías del Rey was a stopping place on the Camino Real de Toledo. Festivals and Local Traditions

The Fiestas Patronales of Olías del Rey take place at the end of September and the beginning of October and include traditional floats. The Fiestas Zona Sur are held on the last weekend of June and include water games for children. Olías del Rey also hosts the traditional Romería de San Gregorio. It is celebrated in Parque Jaime de Foxá in Los Pinos, where the traditional Rosca de San Gregorio and sangria are handed out to all participants.
