La Perdoma – Wine Landscape, Culture and Trails in the Valle de La Orotava
La Perdoma invites you to discover its landscape, buildings and cultural life from a variety of perspectives.
Landscape and Winegrowing
Las Eras del Marqués is home to an agricultural landscape characterised by vineyards trained in the Cordón Trenzado system, as well as plots with citrus fruits, potatoes, vegetables and fruit trees; several adjoining areas planted with Cordones Trenzados are also found here, along with family-run wineries and guachinches that have been preserved. In La Perdoma in the Valle de La Orotava, ungrafted Listán Negro and Listán Blanco vines are trained in the Cordón Trenzado system. The Mirador Cuesta de La Perdoma is located 425 metres above sea level in a traditional winegrowing area and offers an agricultural panorama of fruit trees, vines and vegetable fields.
