Montaña La Data: Cycling Routes, Viewpoints and Nature

The GC-503 crosses Montaña La Data and, together with the GC-504, forms a closed road loop. From there, the GC-504 runs along the Barranco de Ayagaures. This loop is used as a cycling route; the status of the cycle path is signposted when ascending the GC-503 towards Montaña La Data.

Cycling and Hiking

Part of the GC-503 through Montaña La Data belongs to the short PR-GC-40 hiking trail, which runs between El Garañón and Maspalomas. Cyclo Canaria’s Route 1 connects Maspalomas, the Presa de Ayagaures and Montaña la Data in a 26-kilometre cycling tour with 500 metres of elevation gain. When planning individually, the walking and cycling routes mentioned and their different lengths can be compared separately.

Montaña La Data has two road connections: one from the GC-503 to Montaña La Data Baja and another from the GC-503 to Montaña La Data Alta and the settlements of Monteleón. The agricultural areas around Montaña La Data are generally associated with scattered residential buildings. For orientation, you can consider the road layout and land use separately.

Views and Circular Routes

One route leads towards Monte León and Montaña La Data and offers views of the sea and the dune landscape of Maspalomas.
