The Feria de La Zafra is an ethnographic event that commemorates El Tablero’s agricultural origins and tradition of tomato cultivation. The 27th Feria de La Zafra featured craft stalls and the sale of products from regional and local producers.

The 2026 Feria de La Zafra included the theatrical tour “Historias de los oficios tradicionales de El Tablero”, which began at the children’s playground behind the Iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad. For planning purposes, market stalls, a staged tour and a parade can be viewed as different types of event.

Culture and History

Casa del Mato, also known as Casa del Estanque, is a historic building in El Tablero. Work on fencing off the historic Casa del Mato had already begun; Casa del Mato and its surroundings are intended for public cultural use. The historical name, the fencing work that had begun and the planned public cultural use represent different temporal and functional aspects of the same building; visitors can treat these details as separate points of reference.

Today’s Iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad was built through community involvement. Construction began in 1996 and was completed in 2000.

The Fiestas Municipales de El Tablero were held in 2024 in honour of the Santísima Trinidad. At the Romería Ofrenda of the 2024 Fiestas Municipales de El Tablero, the celebration included an offering at the Iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad.

The 2024 Fiestas Municipales de El Tablero also included a Bajada de la Rama procession through the town. During the Romería de la Santísima Trinidad, residents and visitors accompany decorated floats and folklore groups in a traditional procession featuring offerings, music and typical dances. When planning your own day, you can consider the festival date, local history and procession as separate focal points.

Parque Sur

Parque Sur is a public park at the Cruce de El Tablero between San Fernando and Sonnenland. It has an amphitheatre where concerts and other events take place.

Parque Sur also offers an unpaved running track, a climbing wall and outdoor fitness equipment. When planning, the elements mentioned can be distinguished as entertainment and exercise facilities. You can shift the focus of your day between watching and taking part in activities yourself.

Anyone considering a holiday apartment in El Tablero can compare travel dates, room categories and cancellation policies on the respective offer pages based on their own plans. During your stay, the Feria de La Zafra, Santísima Trinidad traditions, Casa del Mato and Parque Sur are also presented as separate topics; personal interests can determine how much weight you give them when making your own travel selection.
