The Centro Vasco de Interpretación de la Memoria Histórica, located in Elgeta, focuses primarily on the Spanish Civil War.

A themed trail is dedicated to historical memory and the resistance of the Intxortas. Its approximate length is around five kilometres, providing a specific distance for day planning.

The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción has pointed-arch windows. These indicate that the church has older origins. The church was extensively enlarged in the 16th and 17th centuries. Inside, there is a distinctly Romanist altarpiece dedicated to the Apostle Saint James.

The Abridio house is also known as Torrekua. Another name is Torre de Urrupain. Its Renaissance façade is made of ashlar stone. It was built in 1564.

Elgeta's town centre is medieval. Its layout was simple and arranged around what is now San Roque Street. The town centre also included a defensive wall.

Festivals and Agriculture

Ferixa Nagusixa is Elgeta's patronal festival. It takes place on the Sunday after the feast day of Saint Peter.

The Baserritarras Fair takes place in Elgeta in September. Cider Day is also held in September.

The livestock and agricultural fair includes a livestock exhibition. It also includes the exhibition and sale of local agricultural products. The exhibition and sale additionally cover farm machinery and tools as well as handicrafts.

Nature and Trails

On hiking trails in Elgeta, you can explore the course of the Aixola. From there, you can reach the reservoir of the same name.

The Asentzio recreational area has tables. The area includes a play and leisure area for children. There is also a small lake there.
