Culture and architectural history

The Palacio de los Altares is located on the outskirts of Pancar. The Palacio de los Altares was an Elizabethan-style building with a rectangular floor plan, two storeys and a small mansard attic on the south side. The film “Pasiones Rotas” was shot at the Palacio de los Altares in Pancar in 1998.

The private rectangular Capilla de la Salud is attached to the perimeter wall of the Palacio de los Altares estate. The chapel features a historicist design with a neoclassical portal, a door with a straight lintel and a semicircular oculus above it. It was built in 1830. Chapels and local traditions

The Capilla de San Patricio in Pancar was completed in 1922. Since 2014, it has been illuminated in green on 17 March in honour of the Irish saint. It was built on a plot of land in the place of Abariego, which was called Cueva de San Patricio.
