Pozo San Luis, which inspired the Ecomuseum project, was designated a Bien de Interés Cultural in the Conjunto Histórico category and placed under heritage protection in 2013. Also in 2013, the Ecomuseo Minero Valle de Samuño opened after the industrial heritage in the area surrounding the mining settlement of La Nueva had been restored. The Valle de Samuño is part of the protected landscape Paisaje Protegido de las Cuencas Mineras and the Natura 2000 network.

The Pozu Fondón complex includes an engine house dating from 1917. The same complex also includes the original tunnel of the former La Nalona mine.
At the Museo de la Siderurgia de Asturias, or MUSI for short, the Sala Bayer documents the history of aspirin and the establishment of a German pharmaceutical factory in Langreo. The museum is also the starting point for the Ruta siderúrgica por La Felguera, a circular route.
The Torre de Villa is a simple three-storey Renaissance-style tower. The square masonry structure stands near the River Nalón on the estate adjoining the palace of the Marqueses de Camposagrado.
The Pinacoteca Municipal Eduardo Úrculo is housed in an elegant ensemble of former municipal slaughterhouse buildings dating from 1919. It mainly displays Asturian art from the period after the Spanish Civil War of 1936 to 1939.
The Iglesia de San Esteban de Ciaño is a church of Romanesque origin and preserves two original portals. The southern portal may date from the late 12th or early 13th century.
The Cine Felgueroso is an elliptical building by the architect Juan José Suárez and is one of the few examples of a German architectural movement of the 1950s. The Ermita de El Carbayu is described as Baroque and contains an altarpiece dated 1738.
The Archivo Histórico del Pozu Fondón is open to researchers studying history and economics as well as interested members of the public for consultation.
Nature
The PR-AS-44 Vuelta a Langreo is Langreo’s longest trail. It runs over the peaks along the municipality and is divided into two sections because of its length. The long high-altitude trail of Langreo passes over peaks more than 1,000 metres high and through beech, chestnut and oak forests.
Trails
The Ruta de los Puentes follows the River Nalón for around 5 kilometres and offers views of the 19th-century bridges.
The Ruta por el Valle del Samuño follows the greenway of the former railway line of Carbones La Nueva.
Local Events
The Mercáu de la Revolución Industrial in La Nueva combines stalls offering typical products to taste with demonstrations by craftspeople, including clog makers as well as wood and stone sculptors.
The Paseo Mitológico features sculptures and paintings of Asturian mythological beings. In La Felguera, the Jornadas de la Sidra Natural include a cider-pouring competition and tastings of natural cider from several Asturian cider producers.
