The turn-off to Caldevilla crosses a river; on the right-hand side is a beautifully restored mill. From the turn-off to Caldevilla, the trail climbs along the Villamayor–Cangas de Onís stage to the village of Villar de Güergu. After Villar de Güergu, the stage route joins the Gijón–Covadonga route, which forms part of the Camín de la Reina.
