The same church also preserves remains of a 14th-century wall painting from the Ermita de la Virgen de Basarán. Nature

The GR 11 Formigal–Ibones de Anayet route begins next to the Corral de las Mulas on the A-136 towards Portalet, 3 km from Formigal. It initially runs gently uphill, parallel to the Barranco de Culivillas; at the Formigal ski station, it joins the GR 11. The “Paseo en telesilla” experience includes a chairlift or gondola ride from Formigal to the resort area; no skiing skills are required. The ride reaches an altitude of nearly 2,000 metres, with views across the entire Valle de Tena.
