Torrepalma represents an unusual combination of rural route history, Andalusian equestrian culture and the Roman traces of Carmona. Nature and Activities

The first section of the livestock trail Vereda del Término runs along the same route as the Torrepalma urbanisation in the municipality of Carmona in the Province of Seville. The Vereda del Término also runs in the immediate vicinity of Hacienda Torrepalma. A route described along this livestock trail is suitable for all target groups and covers ten kilometres there and back. The trail therefore has a clearly stated length without its character being restricted to a single type of outing.

Culture

In nearby Carmona, the Roman necropolis is considered one of the largest and best-preserved Roman burial complexes on the Iberian Peninsula. Also in nearby Carmona, the Roman amphitheatre is partly carved into the rock of the Alcor; gladiatorial games and other performances took place there. Both sites combine the Roman past with distinctive architectural and landscape features.

Hacienda Torrepalma itself also bears traces of history. It includes a former manor house and a lookout tower dating from the 17th century. The name of the County of Torrepalma, created for the Verdugo family, refers to Hacienda Torrepalma in Carmona. Finca La Luz is an estate in the typically Andalusian architectural style, surrounded by a garden and an orchard with olive, orange and other fruit trees.
