An activity at Cerro del Hierro combines beginner climbing routes with trekking through the rock pinnacles, tunnels and caves of the former iron ore mine.

A former mining railway section was developed into the Vía Verde de la Sierra Norte and can be used on foot or by bicycle. The trails described therefore range from a short circular route and underground sections to a former railway line that can now be used for walking and cycling tours.
