Fuente Tójar: Discover Culture and Festivals

At Cerro de las Cabezas, almost the entire walled perimeter of the settlement has been preserved. The surviving remains include residential structures, a road and cisterns. The settlement was inhabited from the Bronze Age to the Late Roman Empire. The Museo Histórico Municipal de Fuente-Tójar has three exhibition rooms that trace the history of the town from its earliest inhabitants to the present day. Trails and Viewpoints

The Fiesta de La Alcaparra takes place on the second weekend of August. It includes a communal meal for all participants. Anyone who buys a ticket at the symbolic price receives an earthenware jug and a clay plate.

The celebration of San José includes a day in the countryside and a communal barbecue.
