Holiday Apartment in Robidnica: Hiking Trails and Cycle Route 8

Several routes through the countryside around Cerkno and Blegoš pass through Robidnica. On the Idrija-Cerkljanska Mountain Trail, a three-and-a-half-hour section leads from the Franja Partisan Hospital via Robidensko brdo to Črni vrh. Route 274 of the route register of the Alpine Association of Slovenia also runs from Cerkno via Novaki and Robidnica to Blegoš. A variant of the traditional commemorative and recreational hike to Blegoš also leads from Cerkno via Robidnica and the Slugova Valley to Blegoš.

Hiking

The Blegoš variant is described as taking around three hours on foot from the starting point to the summit; the trails are considered well marked and secured. The Idrija-Cerkljanska Mountain Trail is an easy, well-marked hiking trail suitable for everyone. One of its checkpoints is Robidensko brdo, listed at an elevation of 824 metres. Thus, the routes mentioned focus both on a longer section passing through several named locations and on a clearly designated connection to a summit.

Cycling

Cycle Route No. 8 is a circular route that runs via Cerkno, Dolenji Novaki, Robidnica, Počivalo and Črni vrh. Along this route, a three-kilometre gravel section with a gentle ascent leads towards Robidensko brdo. At Robidensko brdo, Cycle Route No. 8 turns towards Cerkno Ski Resort; two kilometres after Robidensko brdo, it reaches the lower station of the Počivalo chairlift.

In the municipality of Cerkno, nine electric mountain bikes of the MTB SCOTT Aspect eRide 40 model are available for rent. In 2024, the cycle route running through Robidnica was designated as Route 8.

Winter

Cerkno Ski Resort has 18 kilometres of groomed ski runs. The ski school at the resort teaches children and adults skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

The Cerkno Museum has permanent exhibitions on the Cerkno region through the centuries and on the carnival tradition of the Laufarji from Cerkno. Visitors can also obtain information there about the Franja Partisan Hospital and the birthplace of France Bevk.

The Divje babe Archaeological Park is considered one of the world's most important Stone Age archaeological sites. Visits to the Divje babe Archaeological Park are possible exclusively with a guide and by registering at least three days before the planned visit.
