Culture and History
A central cultural landmark is St. Peter’s Church at Bočna 52. It is designated as a religious building and cultural heritage site. The Christian sanctuary of the church was first mentioned in 1426 in the land register of Gornji Grad. During the remodelling in 1855, the location of the church was changed and its architectural style was shaped as Neo-Romanesque.

Trails and Activities
A mountain-bike-accessible ascent to the Dom na Menini mountain hut is possible from Bočna. Several named routes complement this connection to Menina. The 4.1 km Bee Trail leads from Fricelj via Otok, Tonkov križ and Delce to Bočna. The Bee Trail also leads to local beekeepers and apiaries where homemade honey products can be purchased.
The 27.2 km route to Menina leads from Gornji Grad via Bočna and Menina to Nova Štifta. Shorter is the 2.9 km Sun Trail: it leads from Otok or Tonkov križ in Delce via Podhom back to Otok. This provides different route courses and trail lengths side by side, without the individual routes having the same starting and ending points.
Fishing on the Dreta and its tributaries is possible as a recreational activity. In the section of the Dreta from the mouth of the Kropa to Rjavčeva žaga below Bočna, guests may fish exclusively according to the “catch and release” principle. Fishing for barbel and chub is prohibited there.
