Based on archaeological evidence, settlement in Domaniža dates back to the Late Bronze Age. A Slavic settlement dating from the 11th to the 12th century was identified in the Domaniža districts of Lazy and Brezné.
Historically, wooden vessels were produced in Domaniža, linen, carpets and tablecloths were woven, and slippers, krpce and Haleny were sewn. Bricks and clay ovens were produced in a factory established by Count Erdödy of Hlohovec. Thus, in addition to archaeological traces, traditional crafts and former production are also part of the village’s history.
