Nové Sady reveals its distinctive character in the Protestant Church of Tolerance and in the landscape of the Radošinka. The church was consecrated on 5 October 1786. Its surviving brick tower was built in 1869. During the comprehensive renovation completed in 1962, the original Tolerance layout, the spacious choir and the tower were preserved.

Landscape

Nové Sady stretches along both banks of the Radošinka stream in its middle course. The stream is therefore an integral part of the town's geographical character and forms a natural point of reference within the municipality.

Culture and History

Another historical layer lies on a hill above the municipality. The original Gothic Roman Catholic church already stood there between 1520 and 1530; today, the Nové Sady cemetery is located on this site. On a hill in front of the Catholic cemetery stands a statue of Jesus Christ, which is clearly visible from the centre of Nové Sady.

The Jewish cemetery commemorates the once important Jewish community of Nové Sady, which fell victim to the Holocaust during the Second World War. The manor house of Nové Sady also points to an older past: it was originally a Renaissance manor house from the early 17th century and was built on the site of an earlier castle mentioned in 1550.

The Múzeum Nové Sady can be discovered as part of a guided tour. Such a tour can be booked during the municipal office's opening hours. Novosadská brázda is also a recurring ploughing competition held in the town, featuring tractors and historic machinery.
