The recurring family event Šarkaniáda takes place in the grounds of the Lukáčovské rybníky. The programme includes an adventure ride for children on balance bikes and bicycles around the pond.

Nature

The Lukáčovské rybníky are located southwest of Lukáčovce and serve as a water reservoir. A specific cycling route also leads to Lukáčovce: the 43-kilometre MTB/trekking loop “Nitra – Zbehy – Lukáčovce (rybníky) – rozhľadňa Radošinka – Šurianky” leads to Lukáčovce and via the area around the manor house to the ponds.

History

Archaeological finds in Lukáčovce range from the Neolithic Lengyel culture through the Eneolithic and Early Bronze Age to the period of Great Moravia. The Lukáčovce manor house is a small fortified castle with a regular quadrangular ground plan and slightly projecting square corner towers. It was built in the second half of the 15th century and converted from Gothic to Renaissance style at the beginning of the 17th century.

The hill-shaped Lukáčovský hrádok is located by the cemetery. It is the remains of a defensive structure and has been professionally examined and documented. Its archaeological dating places its construction no later than the 13th century and its destruction in the 15th century. Thus, different historical periods stand side by side in Lukáčovce: settlement traces reaching far back into the past, the medieval defensive structure and the later conversion of the manor house.

The Church of St John of Nepomuk was built in the Baroque style from 1780 to 1792. It is in good condition and continues to serve its religious purpose.

Traditions

The Guláš Cup is a competition in cooking goulash in a cauldron and had a seven-year tradition. After several years, the municipality of Lukáčovce prepared the revival of the traditional harvest festival Dožinky. The planned accompanying programme was to include demonstrations by beekeepers, a hunting club and local farmers about traditional rural life and work connected with nature and agriculture. The planned Dožinky programme was also intended to combine folklore, music and traditions.

When choosing a holiday apartment in Lukáčovce, it is worth comparing the included services, price components, and booking and cancellation conditions on the individual offer pages according to the same criteria. Checking these fields consistently makes differences between the offers visible without mixing the described characteristics of the location with the features of an individual accommodation. Read the specific information on each offer page in full. The offer pages may also be checked for the exact location, type of accommodation and stated occupancy. If there are several options, it helps to read these three points in the same way for each one and then consider the individual conditions of the specific offer. In addition, you can check whether the page clearly states the occupancy, which services are explicitly included and which price components are listed separately. These details belong to the respective offer and say nothing about the landscape, history or events in Lukáčovce.
