Holiday apartment in Mošovce: Culture, Nature and Educational Trail

The local history of Mošovce includes several named collections and buildings. The Ján Kollár Museum is located at the original site of Ján Kollár’s birthplace. The exhibition begins in the original granary and covers his life from his birth and studies to his work as a pastor in Lobeda, Germany. The presentation therefore encompasses both the early stages of Ján Kollár’s life and his later professional career.

Culture

The Mošovce Crafts Museum is also housed in a historic building: it is located in the Révay family mausoleum, built in 1861. The park, roadside avenues and woodland are described as components of the same protected area.

Things to Do

The educational trail established in Mošovce in June 2010 leads through the village to the swimming pool, then on to Báronov hrob and the Rybníky ponds with Jack Farm and horses. It then continues to Čerňákovo, through the park and to the manor house. It ends as a circular route in the square in front of the municipal office. The route therefore follows a fixed sequence of stops: the village itself, the swimming pool, Báronov hrob, the Rybníky ponds with Jack Farm and horses, Čerňákovo, the park and the manor house.

The educational trail could be completed on foot or by bicycle. There are eight information boards along the trail. The route is thus described through its individual stops, the boards and the two specified means of transport. The date of its establishment, June 2010, is also part of the trail’s identification and distinguishes it chronologically from the older buildings and the later amendment to the protection of the avenues.
