Yetiland is located in the Valčianska Valley, a family park with dozens of attractions for children, such as trampolines, inflatable castles, slides and rope obstacles, as well as a water park in summer.

The Andrej Kmeť Museum is located in the first building of the Slovak National Museum. Larger groups are asked to reserve their visit in advance; booked groups are given priority over visitors without reservations when entering and during guided tours.
The Turiec Gallery is housed in the former county house on Námestie SNP in Martin, which was built in 1740. In Martin, it presents a permanent exhibition of 20th-century Slovak art featuring works by figures associated with the Turiec region. The permanent exhibition also includes a section on Mikuláš Galanda’s painting, graphics and applied art.
The Museum of the Slovak Village in Martin is the largest ethnographic open-air museum in Slovakia. It comprises 129 residential, farm, technical, social and sacred buildings; some interiors are open to visitors. Since 1991, it has hosted events as part of the Ethnographic Year, featuring demonstrations of traditional production, crafts, customs and folklore.
History
The National Cemetery in Martin is designated as a national cultural monument. Sklabiňa Castle was the seat of the county administrators of Turiec County for 450 years and is open year-round for an admission fee. Zniev Castle is considered the oldest known castle in the Turiec region and is located at an altitude of 985 metres.
The ruins of Starý Hrad are located in the surroundings of Okres Martin. The ruins of Zniev and Likava are located in the wider regional area around Okres Martin.

Mount Bukovina is located in the immediate vicinity of Okres Martin. The mountains Kalužná, Trebostovský Kopec and Veľká Lúka are located in the surroundings of Okres Martin. The Šútovo Waterfall is 38 metres high and the highest waterfall in the Lesser Fatra.
The first 8 kilometres of the Gader Valley, from Blatnica to the confluence with the Dedošova Valley, run along a well-preserved asphalt road suitable for racing bikes and scooters. The Gader Valley is home to the Čertova brána rock formation and Mlynčekovo, with numerous small water mills in various shapes and designs.
The cycle route across Martinské hole connects Vrútky and Martin over 22 kilometres. It leads to the Chata na Martinských holiach mountain chalet at an altitude of 1,250 metres, which offers snacks and refreshments.
