Holiday apartment in Hajnáčka – castle path, nature and culture
Nature
The Hajnáčsky hradný vrch protected area covers 9.7 hectares. It protects a distinctive volcanic vent with geological exposures documenting Neogene volcanism in the Cerová vrchovina region. The protected area is home to original vegetation, including Iwanow's feather grass, as well as several lizard species. Here, geological formations and characteristic plant and animal life come together in a clearly defined protected area.
Getting around
The Hajnáčsky hradný vrch educational trail begins at the old bell in Hajnáčka and leads along the castle path to the castle. The educational trail features two rotating information boards in three languages. At the highest accessible point, there is also a panoramic board with descriptions of significant surrounding sites in Hajnáčka. There are additional designated starting points for different modes of transport: a hiking route begins at Hajnáčka railway station, while cycle route 1 begins in Hajnáčka.
History
Hajnáčka Castle was first mentioned in 1245. In the 16th and 17th centuries, it was an important point in the anti-Turkish line of defence. Remains of the walls and a gunpowder cellar survive from the original medieval castle on Hajnáčsky hradný vrch. The castle site thus combines an early written mention, its later role in the history of defence and visible structural remains.
Culture
The cultural history of Hajnáčka also includes the Ebeczky manor complex. It is a national cultural monument and comprises a manor house, a granary, an agricultural building and a garden. Ebeczky Manor is a remarkably well-preserved, single-storey rural building with Empire and Neoclassical elements. It was built in the first third of the 19th century. The complex complements the castle's medieval history with a later example of rural architecture, with clearly named components and a construction history placed in its historical context.
Also pay attention to the included services, price components, and booking and cancellation conditions. This makes it possible to compare individual offers based on their specific terms. Which points are decisive for you depends on the desired scope of your trip and the agreed conditions; you should therefore assess the features of each individual offer only on its own page. When comparing offers, it is worth taking a close look at the specific location details and the stated type of accommodation. Occupancy, included services and price components may also differ. On the respective offer page, also check which booking and cancellation conditions apply and whether the information suits your planned travel period. This keeps the selection focused on the details actually published, without anticipating features that apply only to an individual offer. Anyone considering several holiday apartments can read this information side by side and objectively assess differences in scope, costs and conditions. The decisive information is the complete information for each offer, not a general assumption about Hajnáčka.
