Muntele Puturosu, also known as Puciosu, reaches an altitude of 1,143 metres and is part of the Ciomad-Balvanyos Massif. It is the southernmost above-ground occurrence of post-volcanic phenomena in the Eastern Carpathian range.
Puturosu Cave, also known as Grota Puturosu, is a 14-metre-long natural mofette and is considered the largest natural mofette in Europe. Cheile Vârghișului is located in the northern part of the Perșani Mountains and is traversed by the Vârghiș stream. The gorge offers opportunities for hiking and caving.

Culture and History
The Haszmann Pál Museum in Cernat is housed in the manor house of the Damokos family, which was built in the Neoclassical style. The museum grounds feature Transylvanian houses and gates, a water mill, and carved Transylvanian funerary monuments made of wood and stone.

The Saint Emeric Church in Ghelința dates back to the 13th century and preserves architectural elements from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. The fortified Roman Catholic Saint Emeric Church in Ghelința is one of the most valuable religious buildings in Covasna County.
The fortified Unitarian church of Aita Mare has five-metre-high surrounding walls and two opposing bastions. Its stone pulpit consists of four carved panels; the church also has a stone balustrade dated 1710.
The Museum of Transylvanian Life is housed in the 17th-century Kálnoky Castle and displays original weapons, reconstructions of period clothing, aristocratic books and old musical instruments. Tours of Kálnoky Castle begin on the hour after reservation.
Industrial Heritage
The Covasna–Comandău narrow-gauge forest railway was built in 1882 and is an attraction of industrial heritage. Some sections of the Covasna–Comandău forest railway are currently used for tourism.
An excursion train pulled by a steam locomotive runs through Valea Zânelor. Valea Zânelor has hiking trails suitable for walking and jogging.
