Pstrągowa has been an independent parish since 1628. Pstrągowa's religious heritage includes a chapel dating from 1344 and a wooden church added in 1802; the present brick church, “Church of Saint Joseph the Worker”, was built between 1973 and 1975.

Since 2006, the parish has been home to the Cantamus choir. Its tradition includes annual Christmas concerts entitled “Bóg się rodzi”.
