History and Archaeology
Archaeological evidence in the vicinity of Radostków bears witness to the development of human communities during the period when the Polish state was taking shape. The modern settlement site “Radostków 4 AZP 84-48/30” is located in Radostków.
Radostków is documented as a noble village; its heir Stanisław was mentioned in 1411–1412. Earlier historical forms of the name Radostków were “Radoszkowice” and “Radosthkow”.
The documented owners of Radostków included Mikołaj and Rafał around the middle of the 15th century, followed by Małgorzata in the years 1458–1461, and Felicja and Sebastian Pągowski in the 16th century. In the 16th century, Radostków consisted of manorial land and peasant fields totalling approximately 1.5 łan.
In the second half of the 19th century, the Radostków estate comprised the Radostków and Nałęcz manors, the settlements of Bentkowskie and Teofilów, a lime kiln, and a watermill. The “Kaba-Rado” cabaret festival has been documented in Radostków since 2017.
