Nature
The Wällertour Eisenbachtal follows the Eisenbach through the meadow landscape and runs alongside its meandering course. It leads through idyllic meadow valleys and varied mixed forests and is accompanied by three streams. The route mainly consists of lightly surfaced paths.
A dog-friendly hiking route in the Eisenbachtal begins and ends at the Studentenmühle car park in Nomborn. It is 9 km long, takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, and runs along natural paths as well as predominantly surfaced paths with little asphalt. A short circular trail of the Wällertour Eisenbachtal includes Nomborn's local hill, Bornkasten. The Buchfinkentour also passes through Nomborn.
Bornkasten has its own circular trail with information boards about basalt, flora, fauna, and Celtic ancestors; the circular trail is approximately two kilometres long. Bornkasten was designated GeoTop of the Year 2023 in the Westerwald-Lahn-Taunus National Geopark and is part of Nassau Nature Park. The spoil heaps of the disused Bornkasten quarry provide a habitat for rare plants and animals.
The Bornkasten detour passes a geological outcrop of fan-shaped basalt columns and offers views over the Eisenbachtal, the Gelbachtal, and the Montabaur Basin. Bornkasten also offers views of the surrounding settlements and a basalt quarry that reveals the geological history of the region.

Culture
The restored Lambach pump operates exclusively using water power and without electricity and supplies four of Nomborn's new fountains. Nomborn's fountain tradition includes five new fountains, including the Kiliansbrunnen, which was built for the village's 700th anniversary in 1989.
In the village centre stands a half-timbered bakehouse with a functioning wood-fired oven that is regularly used for baking bread. A small forest chapel dating from 1963 stands by Bildches Eich. St. Kilian's Church is described as a 15th-century building and contains a late Gothic Madonna of the Grapes.
Basalt extraction at Bornkasten began around 1922/1923 and continued until approximately 1930; a large proportion of the stone was processed into paving stones. The Studentenmühle restaurant offers rural cuisine with seasonal and regional specialities.
