The certified Wäller Tour “Bachgeflüster” runs around Atzelgift. The hiking route offers variants of approximately 16 and 10 kilometres, as well as family-oriented variants. It leads through the landscape around Atzelgift and connects streams, wooded sections, viewpoints and stations of cultural and historical significance, including the Ehrenhain memorial grove near Atzelgift. Culture and History
The Atzelgift Mill is a historic mill site. Its residential building dates from 1908; the brick mill building was rebuilt after a fire in 1949. The mill operated until 1965, and its hydropower continues to generate electricity.
The Atzelgift Forest Chapel is a simple half-timbered chapel built in 1996 to mark the 600th anniversary of the village. A former entrance to the Adolf ore tunnel was located nearby. The chapel is described as a tranquil place for walkers, hikers and visitors.
