Kirsbach: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Stumpfarmweg crosses the districts of Boos, Kirsbach, Brücktal, and Arbach. It is described as a moderate 14.6-kilometre hike with 264 metres of ascent and descent, leads towards the Booser Maar, and follows the Nitz to Brücktal. As the signage is incomplete in some sections, it is recommended to download the GPX track and map in advance.
Hiking and Nature
At the nearby Drees, the forest educational and adventure trail has 15 stations for puzzles as well as movement and balance activities. Three hiking trails around nearby Drees are named Waldweg, Talweg, and Höhenweg.
The wider Nürburgring adventure region combines cycling, hiking, Nordic walking, and motorsport. The mountain biking arena around the Nürburgring is part of the cycling arena at the Ring and features three well-signposted circular routes. In the wider regional surroundings of the Vulkaneifel, the Vulkaneifel trails include half-day tours, day tours, and multi-day tours.
In the wider regional surroundings, the Vulkaneifel is also both a nature park and a UNESCO Global Geopark. The Vulkaneifel there has 750 kilometres of hiking trails for discovering its landscape. In addition, 103 maars have been scientifically documented, twelve of which still contain a lake.
In the wider Eifel, the Hohe Acht reaches 747 metres. The ascent to the Kaiser Wilhelm Tower on the Hohe Acht offers views across the Eifel. In good weather, Cologne Cathedral may be visible from the tower.
The nearby Booser Doppelmaar consists of two broad, shallow basins: one is a dry maar, while the other is now a pond. The nearby Booser Doppelmaar nature reserve is highlighted for its flora and fauna.
The approximately 4.5-kilometre Crater Tour is a circular route that passes the Boos Eifel Tower and both Boos maars. Information panels along the Crater Tour explain the volcanism as well as the local animal and plant life. The nearby Crater Tour begins at the car park of the Booser Doppelmaar volcanic park station on the L94. Parking spaces for the nearby Crater Tour are available at the volcanic park station on the L94 and at the youth centre in the centre of Boos.
Culture
The protected Saint Joseph Chapel in Kirsbach was built in 1922 as a single-nave church in the Baroque style using quarry stone; its windows were designed by the glass painter Otto Linnemann.
Kirsbach has the clustered village form of a nucleated settlement. The development was later extended along the northern edge; a small extension was added along the western edge from the 1970s onwards.
Those wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Kirsbach can then continue their accommodation search.
