Beulich is situated on a ridge between the Ehrbach Valley and the Baybach Valley, within the Moselle Area Landscape Conservation Area extending from Schweich to Koblenz. In Beulich's Rosker Valley lies the Roskerbach Forest Forum, a biotope developed from the former Beulich forest swimming pool. During its restoration, natural stream courses were restored and several information stations were added. The Forest Forum includes covered seating areas, several benches and a small forest stage. It is also described as a water playground.

Culture and History

The Römergräber Forest of Peace is a naturally grown mixed forest near Beulich. Six Roman burial mounds have been preserved at the entrance and can be visited; visitors can take part in guided tours. The Catholic parish church of St. Laurentius and Apollonia is classified as a hall church dating from 1748, whose Romanesque west tower was raised in 1838/39. Beulich's parish church received a Stumm organ in 1853, made by Friedrich and Ernst Stumm.

The Beulicher Platt project offers audio recordings with translations and information about village traditions. Historian Ferdinand Pauly suspects that the Beulich parish was founded in the 11th century. Beulich's church is documented in a decision dated July 18, 1212. Hiking and Cycling

The Eckmühle mill in Beulich's Ehrbach Valley is a hiking stop located directly at the Ehrbach Gorge. It is described as a resting place for hikers, day-trippers, families, cyclists and nature lovers. The Kennelbach Cross is a wayside cross on the Schinderhannes-Untermosel Cycle Path near Beulich. The Schinderhannes-Untermosel Cycle Path runs directly past Grieshof Holiday Farm. Grieshof Holiday Farm in Beulich offers guided hikes through nearby gorge valleys.

Getting There

By car, Beulich can be reached from the B 49 via Brodenbach and the L 206, from the B 327 or from the A 61 at Emmelshausen. The municipality provides directions to the Forest of Peace and lists parking options near the entrance to the forest and at the sports field.
