Baar: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The 7 Villages Trail begins and ends in Baar-Wanderath. The circular hiking trail connects the seven districts of Baar, is approximately 13 kilometres long, and takes about three and a half hours to complete in its entirety.
Nature
The Wanderath Trail leads from the church in Baar-Wanderath through fields, meadows and wooded ridges towards Welschenbach. It passes through quiet valleys with babbling streams as well as juniper and broom heaths. The route also includes the juniper heaths of the Kramershardt on the southern slope of the Hohe Warte.
At a stream, the trail reaches the Schwarze Madonna meditation site. There you will find a spring and a small bridge.
Hiking
The Wanderath Trail follows part of the Jodokus Pilgrimage Route. It also allows for a detour to the St. Jost pilgrimage chapel. The 7 Villages Trail reaches a small wayside shrine known as a Heiligenhäuschen.
Along the Way
The signposting of the 7 Villages Trail may be incomplete in some sections; the GPX track and map should therefore be downloaded in advance. The trail can also be started at other points along the route and divided into stages.
