Nature and Trails

The Mühlenrunde Lützkampen trail is rated “very easy to easy.” It starts and ends at Lützkampen’s church square and from there leads past the Harspelter Mill, along the Irsen to the Lützkämper Mill, and back to the village. The route also includes blown-up bunkers and anti-tank obstacles from the West Wall.

There are no trail markings or signposts on the Islek trails. Visitors are instructed to follow the written route descriptions or GPS navigation.

Culture and History

Welchenhausen, which belongs to Lützkampen, is home to the wArtehalle art museum. Its changing exhibitions present works by artists from surrounding countries. The wArtehalle has an exhibition space of 10 square metres, is open around the clock, and admission is free.

The KultOurtal Road presents 25 cultural monuments and works of art between Welchenhausen and Stupbach. Along the Our, a road also runs for 2.7 kilometres between the Lützkampen villages of Welchenhausen and Stupbach.

The House of the Landscape and History presents changing exhibitions and documentation on the cultural and natural history of the Islek. It is part of the KultOUR-TAL-STRASSE and a popular resting place for hikers.

The Stupbach Fire Station presents regional historical exhibitions and information materials. It was renovated in 2016 by the wArtehalle museum association and is open every day around the clock.
