Dasburg is a border town connected to the Our River. The Our was established as a natural border after the Wars of Liberation. Dasburg developed at the foot of its castle. The settlement was initially recorded under earlier forms of the name before the designation Dasburg became established.

History

Dasburg was first mentioned in a document in 1222. Its castle is said to have been built around 850 and is considered one of the oldest castles in the surrounding area. The former castle complex was largely destroyed; some castle ruins are still partially standing.
